When I woke up in
Shamrock
Texas and headed out, the weather looked a bit iffy The photo does not show how gray it really looked and felt My hope was to be able to keep ahead of it traveling east 
 As I was leaving, a couple were packing their bike They stowed stuff in every possible corner. Nice folks They were heading home somewhere in northern Oklahoma |

Heading up the road, the day did not seem condusive for doing very much sight seeing 
 Good thing that western Oklahoma does not have all that much and I have seen my fill of Route-66 museums for a while |

I did stop and spend some time in
Sayre,
Oklahoma Beckham, County Courthouse is good for a "B" 
In front of the courthouse is a buffalo painted in pony soldier blue 
 Sayre City Council Chambers and city hall are downtown in what looks to be a business building  The town theater no longer shows movies but can be rented for special events I wonder how popular the bowling alley is.

Truth be told, I lost my page of
daily notes and could not remember where I had though to go |

I rode directly on to
Oklahoma City and visited Harley-Davidson World I had been there before but that was before the poker chips  |

Getting to the
Oklahoma State Capitol was an
exercise The streets surrounding seem not to have a cogent plan what with one-ways and spaghetti layout and all The Capitol (they spell it with an "O" here) building has an Indian on top to commemorate the people from whom we stole the land on which it sits 
 In front there are a couple statues naturally, a cowboy and an Indian

From Oklahoma City to
Tulsa
is a toll road 107 miles with few chances to get off and back on They charge $4.50 and give a refund if you do not go all the way It was long, hard, boring But for a while, the weather looked good Bob Ross's Happy Little Clouds  |

Route 66 Harley-Davidson
is a new dealer for me Bought the usual  Note that I cut the top of the sign off I was tired and did not notice |

Best Western Tulsa Inn & Suites 3212 S 79th E Ave They gave me a very nice suite on the top floor Did some laundry this evening |
